Bahurupi rice is an ancient rice grainhas been the most-preferred variety in the states of Odisha and West Bengal. It is highly nutritious, boasting significant levels of protein, fibre, calcium, iron, and zinc. It has been cultivated for over 3,000 years and was even favoured by the Vijayanagara Emperor Sri Krishna Devaraya in the 15^th century.

The medicinal properties of Bahurupi Rice have long been recognised in Ayurveda, where it is used for treating conditions like rheumatism, bile disorders, phlegm, and anemia. Additionally, its consumption contributes to heart health as it aids in reducing cholesterol levels. Furthermore, it is gluten-free. Incorporating this nutritious gluten-free rice grain into our diet helps maintain overall health and well-being. However, it is of utmost importance to consume nutritious food that is chemical-free. The consumption of rice grain produced from chemical fertilizers is not a healthy choice.

Following the nutritionist’s advice and the age-old practise of consuming aged rice for optimal health benefits, we store the paddy for nine months. Hence, the rice that is being delivered to you will be at least 9 months old.
